John Pagett - Bursary
Thanks to a generous bequest from John Pagett, a man intensely interested in the natural history and archaeology of Shropshire and the West Midlands, applications are invited for the John Pagett Bursary, an award made annually for research into the prehistory, history, and archaeology of Shropshire and the immediate region.
Applicants will preferably be studying for or hold a degree, but independent researchers and research organisations will be considered.
The award can be used to pay for fees, to cover expenses during research visits, or for other suitable activities related to the research. Award holders will be expected to supply outline details of expenditure and will offer a talk to the Wrekin Historical Group on the outcome of their research.
Closing date for applications is 30th June. Applications should comprise a 500-word outline of the research, a CV, and a schedule of how the award will be used.
