Join us on Thursday 14th May at St Georges and Priorslee Parish Centre, St Georges, Telford for a talk by Keith Cattell to find out How Cathedrals Were Made. Start time 7.30pm.
Medieval cathedrals sought to produce on earth a copy of the heavenly city as described in the book of Revelations. They were also the skyscrapers of their age pushing stone technology to the limits.
This talk seeks to trace the techniques and skills used by the cathedral builders from the 4th century to the 20th century charting their successes and failures.
All welcome, but please note for Non-Members of the WHG there is a £2.50 charge. However if you become a member then there is no charge, for membership details see the Membership Information page.
We look forward to seeing you Thursday 14th May.
